There’s a new storefront on the The Strip Club as it approaches the tentative January 15th opening date. I’m hoping they stick to this date, but I’ll be nosy and keep you posted if it changes.
The new window art is quite pretty and looks great with the style of the building and the interior. I’m already in love and can’t wait to have this addition to my building.
This little tidbit was in a recent episode of Flak Radio. Taylor, Jim and I had a brief exchange in Google’s new Chat feature, in which you can get multiple people into a “chat room” to waste more time at work. Taylor then took our genius and put it through a robot voice application thingy and voila! COMEDY GOLD!
I found these adorable pictures on Amazon several months ago but hadn’t decided how I’d put them up, other than knowing they’d go in the dining room. They still need frames, but this is working for now.
Then, during our vacation in California, I found the shoe and dress (candle holder and vase respectively) in an antique store. They fit so perfectly with the pictures that I couldn’t leave without them.
Thanks to Aaron, I’ve learned that the guys from the Town Talk Diner, which I totally love, are planning on a new venture in my neighborhood. Specifically, a steak house in the retail spaces directly below my condo. I will be living above The Strip Club. So Awesome. Come October 1st, you’ll know where to find me after 4:00pm.
I HAVE WON THE INTERNET! (via.)
The internet has been defeated! I have finally come across the greatest thing to ever be put on the internet, therefore I WIN.
Please behold, in all its majesty, 1500 Filipino Prisoners reenacting “Thriller.” Let me say this again: FIFTEEN HUNDRED FILIPINO PRISONERS REENACTING “THRILLER” I dare you not to feel the same elation I felt. The best part? They are so good it’s totally unbelievable.
Whew, I haven’t used that much text formatting in, like, a really long time.
Notes from the YouTube clip state
1,500 plus CPDRC inmates of the Cebu Provincial Detention and Rehabilitation Center, Cebu, Philippines at practice! This is not the final routine, and definitely not a punishment! just a teaser.
This more than likely means there were try outs for the main role. That is fantastic. Maybe not so much for the guy who had to sport the halter and pony tail, but he played it with dignity.
According to The Local (Sweden’s news in English), there is hope for us!

A Swedish heavy metal fan has had his musical preferences officially classified as a disability. The results of a psychological analysis enable the metal lover to supplement his income with state benefits.
Roger Tullgren, 42, from from Hässleholm in southern Sweden has just started working part time as a dishwasher at a local restaurant.
Because heavy metal dominates so many aspects of his life, the Employment Service has agreed to pay part of Tullgren’s salary. His new boss meanwhile has given him a special dispensation to play loud music at work.
Aaron invited me out flying this evening in a Piper Arrow. We went from Lake Elmo, MN to Duluth’s Sky Harbor and then over to Wisconsin’s Voyager Village, over Stillwater for some Celebrity Houses-I-Grew-Up-In tour, and then back home.
After a slight issue with the landing gear, we landed and all was well. I’m pretty excited to do that again.
