I previously shared the photos from my youth, so now I’m going to share my yearbook photos.
 1950 - I think I really need to revisit this look. |
 1952 - Pearls really flatter me, eh? Also, great hair! |
 1956 - My hair didn’t change much these few years. |
 1958 - but then I moved to Texas.Look at that height! |
 1962 - A year of experimentation. |
 1966 - I really fell into my own here. |
 1968 - I really look like my mom here. |
 1970 - Feeling kind of whimsical. |
 1972 - 66 was such a good year, I gave it another shot. |
 1974 - Do you know how long it takes to get my hair this straight??? Respect. |
 1976 - Ironing my hair took too long so I gave in to my natural curl. |
 1978 - The year my hair sought revenge for all the styling. Never forget. |
 1980 - I must have been drunk a lot this year; I don’t remember this. |
 1982 - Surprises me how often I still see this style. At work. |
 1984 - “She’s So Unusual” was really important to me. |
 1986 - I feel like I should apologize to everyone for this one. |
 1988 - The year I purchased stock in several hairspray companies. |
 1990 - That stock purchase was clearly the best thing I’ve ever done. |
 1992 - Well, the stock dropped a few points, but I haven’t yet lost money. |
 1994 - It made a giant comeback this year! Cashing out! |
 1996 - The bangs help hide the shiny forehead. |
 1998 - 40 years later and I can still really pull off that “young” look. |
 2000 - Ah, yes. The year I began my mid-life crisis. |

Ah, the 80’s. I wonder if we’ll be revisiting those hairstyles.
I didn’t think jeans with waistbands as high as my underwires would come back yet, but oh fuck, they did.
