The new living room.

Someone, I forget who, asked for pictures of the new living room when the sofa arrived. Here they are.

The bookshelf top shelf looks like it’s bowing on the left hand side, but I think that’s the angle of the camera, it’s not really that bad. And I guess the right hand side needs something up there.

I still have a lot of red going on, so that needs to be phased out a little bit.

Behind the sofa and to the right is where the TV used to be. Now, there’s enough space for a little table and a couple of chairs. So if anyone finds a cute little table that would fit there, you should point me in the right direction. Something with a glass mosaic top would rawk.

It’s small… but I can finally seat more than 1 person. It only took 14 months. :)

Still no comments on this? Weird. Anyway, it does look pretty good. As you said, there’s still a lot of read that needs to ridden of, but that red pillow thing on top of the bookcase can stay. Maybe…

  2. I think I’m okay with the pillow, too. My curtain rod ends are red mosaic glass, and because I still like them, I’d like to keep a touch of red to make them work. But it’s time to find new homes for the candle holders and whatnot.

  3. I have that bookshelf.

I also have a lot of red that I’m trying to manage/phase out. Except I blew my wad on the one not-red room and now I have no enthusiasm (or money) left for the rest.

    This decorating stuff is hard.

It is hard. And almost every time I finish a room, I see something else that I like better, but now it's too late. I have a love-hate relationship with decorating.
