The new Decibel arrived today. Let’s see what we have going on this fall… Mastodon on the cover, so far so good.
Iron Maiden released a new album, “A Matter of Life and Death” and will be on tour this fall. I have beel falling in love with Maiden again recently, and spent the weekend with “The Early Days” so I’m very excited about this, and will be owning this soon.
Napalm Death, Hatebreed, Black Dahlia Murder, Exodus, First Blood and Despised Icon will be on tour together this fall, as well (Monsters of Mayhem). That’s a pretty powerful lineup. I’m not entirely sure who the last two bands are, but if Barney’s cool with ‘em, I’m cool with ‘em.
I know someone who is going love this: Gwar releases an album, August 29th AND will ALSO be on tour this fall. “Beyond Hell.” “Limited edition DVD features tons of behind-the-scenes footage… You’ll laugh! You’ll cry! You’ll crap your pants!” Hoo boy does that sound like a dandy time, or what?
Black Label Society will have a new album, “Shot To Hell” in stores September 12th. Just three days after the ZPC. Boys and girls, this is shaping up to be an exciting fall. (and that’s just the music
)
GIGANTOUR!! This September: Megadeth, Lamb of God, Opeth, Arch Enemy, Overkill, Into Eternity, Sanctity, The Smashup. YIKES I gotta find a way to go to that!
Motorhead has a new album in stores now, “Kiss of Death.”
As you can see, the fall is going to be jam packed with awesome shit happening. I just hope some of this stuff makes it way to the northland. And if I can’t make the tours, they’ll be awesome CDs in the spring.
